# Braces and wind instruments



## Start with the answer



If you already play an instrument, orthodontic treatment can include continued playing; that does not promise unchanged performance\.



Wind playing involves lips, tongue, teeth and facial muscles\. Fixed braces may rub\. Discuss protection and playing\-time appliance use, including removable appliances, with your orthodontist\.



## Maya's calendar, before care
